The Top 5 Simple Things To Do For Mom
Mother’s
Day is a special time of the year. It’s the time of year that we do something extra special for our Mom’s to let
her know how much she means to us, to show her how close to our heart she is. It’s not about expensive
gifts, it’s about the little, simple things that will mean the most to Mom.
Here is my top 5 list.
1.
Write her a letter – Forego the store bought card and write her a note card yourself. No Hallmark card could stand up to this card!
2.
Breakfast in Bed – Treat Mom like a queen and bring her breakfast in bed…along with the Sunday newspaper
3.
Buy her a Plant – Buy Mom a pretty plant or bush and then take her outside and plant it where she wants it
4.
Share Memories – Spend time together talking and listening to each other. Ask Mom her favorite memory of you and then tell her
yours of her.
5. Give Mom a coupon book – no not store coupons, but coupons that
she can redeem from you. You can make a book of 5 pages out of construction paper. On each page list a chore or activity that
you will do for her. Some ideas are:
Clean the bathroom
and kitchen
Take Mom to the movies
Take her to go
get some ice cream
10 minute foot massage
Take Mom bowling
Weed
the flower garden
Give the dog a bath
These
are my top 5 gift ideas that as a Mom I would love to get from my children. They are simple and they are very inexpensive
to give. There are lots of other simple things you could do for Mom on Mother’s Day. Put your thinking caps on and come
up with something different and unique. I’m sure Mom will love the fact that you put so much thought into doing something
special just for her.
